There were 43 insecticide of active ingredients and 182 finished products registered in Taiwan for house fly control. According to the Environmental Protection Administration website(2006）, the topical application technique was adapted to evaluate the efficacy of 7 insecticide active ingredients which included, permethrin, cypermethrin, phenothrin, deltamethrin, chlorpyrifos, fenitrothion, and carbamate insecticides propoxur to both the laboratory house fly and field house fly.. The glass cylinder methods was adapted to evaluate the efficacy of 10 finished products to both the laboratory house fly and field house fly.It was found all the fly from the field developed insecticide resistant to the tested insecticides. Since the synthetic insecticides were widely used, the insecticides resistance in insects increased rapidly. This may be caused the failure of the pest control frequently.
